Dr. Scott Richardson: 
Dr. Scott Richardson grew up in rural Kentucky. Since a child he wanted to be a veterinarian. After graduating from Auburn University, he joined the United States Army where he was an infantry soldier. Following his time in the service he enrolled at the University of Kentucky for post graduate studies in animal science. Dr. Richardson was then accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. Dr. Richardson has worked in North Georgia and Kentucky before settling into the Red Hills of North Florida. Dr. Richardson has an affinity for large animal medicine, especially nutritional disorders. Dr. Richardson is married to Dr. Michelle Richardson, and has two dogs, (Zoe and Scarlett) 1 cat (Tucks) and 5 fish. Dr. Richardson is a member of AAEP, AVMA, FVMA, and BBVMA. Dr. Richardson is currently serving as the president of the BBVMA.
Dr. Michelle Richardson:
Dr. Michelle was born in Massachusetts, but moved to northern Kentucky at the age of 13. She also had always wanted to be a veterinarian. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in animal science with an interest in equine production. Dr. Michelle was accepted and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. She then worked in a mixed animal practice in North Georgia and then another in Central Kentucky where she worked on cattle, horses, goats, dogs, cats and the occasional pocket pet (rabbits, hamsters etc.). She and her husband, Dr. Scott Richardson, moved to Tallahassee Florida and purchased Lakewood Animal Hospital in 2003. They have no 2 legged children, but plenty of four legged ones as listed in Dr. Scott's bio! Dr. Michelle is a member of the AVMA and the BBVMA.
